“It’s personal. It always is when you create”. [no]Illusions will show the feminine and vibrant work in the first solo show of Amsterdam based artist Lijne.
[no]Illusions is about the surreal world we’re living in. We are expected to keep our feet on the ground but need our dreams and illusions to create. No illusions, no dreams equals, no escapes, no creativity.
Lijne started experimenting with stencil art and spray paint during her marketing studies in Amsterdam. She continued self-teaching and created her unique style while working in another vibrant world called the music industry.
Her creative pursuits took her around the globe and coloured her universe. Her works often reflect a sense of playfulness, self-control, female empowerment and seduction, combined with an offbeat palette of expressive colours.

[no] Illusions will be showcased at the Lobster House, Amsterdam, the 28th of May, or by private viewing in her atelier.
