Lijne is a Dutch artist who lives and works in The Netherlands. Her diverse and playful artistic practice takes her from creating shapes on canvas to spraying on walls, cooking up sculptures or shaping light art.

Lijne explores her art in both the real and digital world. Her favorite muse is the female species in surreal beauty, the female body contours and shapes to the daily life situation. On canvas, everything can be playful, colourful and full of energy.

In all of Lijne’s work you’ll find characteristics reflective of the artist herself, often accompanied with a hint of playfulness. ”Some things should not be chewed out and thought over so much. I simply create, no concepts, no storylines, no bullshit bla. I create for myself and others may or may not enjoy that. It’s the main reason why I don’t take on any  assignments, I cannot confirm to the likes of others. My world is preferably surreal, while creating it’s just me and my hands flowing between emotion, shape, form and color.”
